Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Rainbow, Inc. ("Rainbow", "we") collects when you use our website and services, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum we need, we don't sell personal data, and we delete what we no longer need.
Information we collect
We collect three categories of information:
- Information you give us — for example when you email us, apply to a role, join our expert network, or subscribe to updates (name, email, professional background).
- Information collected automatically — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used for security and reliability.
- Optional analytics — anonymous usage statistics, collected only if you opt in via our cookie settings.
How we use it
We use personal information to operate the site, respond to inquiries, evaluate applications, pay expert contributors, send updates you requested, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Expert network data
If you join our expert network, we additionally process the information needed to verify credentials, match you with projects, and process payments. Work product you create under an engagement is governed by that engagement's agreement, not this policy.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf (hosting, payments, communications) under contractual confidentiality, with professional advisers where required, and where the law compels us. If Rainbow is involved in a merger or acquisition, data may transfer as part of that transaction with notice to you.
Retention & security
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. Data is encrypted in transit, access is role-restricted and logged, and we review access quarterly.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email us and we'll honor the request within 30 days — no forms, no dark patterns.
